The New Alfa Romeo Mito

Buying An Alfa Romeo MiTo

The Alfa Romeo MiTo was launched at the British Motor Show in 2008, and has been available to buy from dealers in the UK since then. The 2008 model was updated with a new transmission, along with other upgrades, in 2010, and this 2010 model is still in production to this day, so anyone wishing to buy this sporty three door supermini can find it at dealerships across the country.

A number of different versions of the MiTo are available from UK Alfa Romeo dealerships, including the MiTo GTA, Cabriolet and Quadrifoglio Verde. A limited edition run of 100 Maserati versions of the car were also produced in 2010.

A wide range of different engine versions are also available. The petrol engines start off at the lower end with a 0.9 TwinAir variant and go up to a 1.4 TB MultiAir version at the top end of the scale. Buyers who are concerned with getting the best fuel economy, however, should ask their local Alfa Romeo dealer about the diesel engine variants, which run from a 1.3 JTD up to a 1.6 JTD.

If safety concerns are a higher priority for you that the fuel economy you should be relieved to hear that the Alfa Romeo MiTo received the highest 5 star rating from Euro NCAP, the main safety testing organisation in Europe, for adult occupant safety. Child occupant safety is a little lower for this car - Euro NCAP gave it a 3 star rating with a score of 29.

The RRP for a new MiTo car from Alfa Romeo is £12,500. A range of finance options are available from dealers so buyers who do not have the full cost price for this car should consider asking their local dealership about the finance plans which would be available for them.
